Built for heavy-duty shredding, the Jackson Pro DKA7 Dinky 7-string solidbody electric guitar is stylish and mean. And speaking of shredding, the 1-piece maple neck is topped with a compound-radius fingerboard for exceptional comfort and speed. The Pro DKA7 Dinky uses a pair of direct-mount DiMarzio D Activator 7 DP720/DP719 humbuckers wired to a 3-way switch to give you tonal options. Jackson also threw in a momentary kill switch that lets you create cool stutter effects.
Jackson Pro DKA7 Dinky 7-string Solidbody Electric Guitar at a Glance:
- Go deep with a 7-string
- Built for serious metal tones
- Speedy neck for fast runs up the frets
The beauty of a 7-string is that it broadens your range of tones while not feeling altogether unfamiliar. This expanded range gives you the opportunity to add additional depth to your sound, making for a more complex sound in a band situation.Built for serious metal tones
Jackson decided to load the Pro DKA7 Dinky with direct-mount DiMarzio D Activator 7 DP720/DP719 humbucking pickups, giving you the output you need to push your amp hard but still retain string clarity. Why direct-mount the pickups? The guitar experts here at Sweetwater say that the thinking behind direct-mounting pickups (the pickups are screwed directly to the wood inside the cavity versus suspended from mounting rings) is that the tonal transfer is stronger, resulting in a truer representation of the sound. On top of the searing-hot pickups, the Pro DKA7 Dinky also boasts a momentary kill switch.Speedy neck for fast runs up the frets
The Jackson Pro DKA7 Dinky features a 12"-16" compound-radius fretboard for ultimate playability. The fingerboard is rounder near the nut for easy chord-grabbing and rhythm playing. As your playing heats up and moves up the fretboard, the radius flattens out for easier runs and big string bends. With a neck that plays this slick, you'll be up at the 24th fret before you know it.Jackson Pro DKA7 Dinky 7-string Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
