Used Breedlove Acoustic Passport 32" Medium Scale Bass One of a Kind Prototype w/ Hardshell Case
We don't get to see enough Breedlove around here, probably because no one ever gets rid of them. I just got off the phone with the good folks at Breedlove and they told me that this is a one of a kind instrument and they decided not to go forward with medium scale acoustic basses. This was made as a prototype 32" medium scale bass that never went to market back in 2014. Obviously, feel free to call Breedlove with the serial number to confirm.
That all being said, Breedlove doesn't have much information about wood species, etc. It was manufactured in Korea.
This is a really well made instrument with some booming bottom end. The instrument sounds great unplugged and resonates well. When plugged in, it brings the thunder! The electronics are a Breedlove VTC pickup/tuner and they work perfectly. The neck is straight and the truss rod works as it should. The previous owner had black nylon tape wound strings put on and they play really smoothly. The frets don't have any deep wear and have plenty of life in them. There is a small ding (pictured) on the front of the instrument along with a tiny scratch on the headstock (pictured). The case is a nice molded model but does have a tiny bit of separation between the interior and the sides at the top (pictured). No funky smells or anything weird. Grab yourself a nice instrument that you can play without shaking the house. Don't miss a chance to own a Breedlove Prototype.
