Used Fender American Standard Stratocaster Sienna Burst Ash w/ Case
I was born on 5/27/2011 when a nice piece of rosewood and ash became one.
The American Standard Series was the benchmark for Fender's American factory for a long time. This finish was a premium because they used ash instead of alder (when Rosewood and Ash weren't endangered species).
Being almost ten years old, there are some finish scratches that you would expect, so let's pull out the microscope:
On the back of the instrument, you can see a couple of dimples and fine scratches when you twist it in the light (nothing that can photographed). The front is pretty unscathed yet you can see some finish scratches when trying to catch the light. There is some wear on the frets under the treble strings as you would also expect (most noteably on the G string). The wear does NOTHING to affect playability and it's not like you can catch your finger with it or anything, but worth noting all the same. Besides that, no missing paint or any chips at all.
Best of all, at some point someone upgraded the case to an almost new Fender/SKB molded plastic form fitting case ($199.99)
