Used Fender 2001 American Standard Stratocaster with Brand New Fender Hardshell Case
This one came into our shop via trade without a case. We have paired it up with a Brand New Fender Molded Deluxe Case ($229.99). The guitar plays great and has a nice action. The neck is straight, truss rod moves as it should and the frets have plenty of life (see photos). The pickguard has been changed and the pots appear to have been as well. The pickguard has two small holes on the sides of the bridge that may have been used for a Roland pickup. The pickups look to be factory installed and we have no reason to think they were swapped. The tuners have been upgraded to an unbranded locking variety that appear nice and durable. There are some light scratches and swirling throughout with some deeper ones on the backside. There are also some small dings on the body that we have highlighted in the photos. The frets do have some light marks worth mentioning but don't affect playability. The neck feels great and is smooth with the exception of a pretty good ding at the 9th fret (see photos).
Overall the guitar is in very good condition considering it's more than 20 years old.
Weighs in at 8 lbs 3.0 oz.
