used-polytone
Used Polytone Model 104 Electric Guitar Vintage 180W Solid State Combo Amp

From jazzers to indy-rockers... this amp is a unique and rare bird! The 104 is a (roughly) 180W solid state ripper. You don't see these every day. It is rumored that George Benson used a 104 on his hit record "Breezin'". Configured in a hyped-up Fender channel setup, there are Normal and Vibrato channels. There is tons of flexibility for Equalization with the three position bright-normal-dark switch on each channel, on top of the traditional two-band Fender tone stack EQ per channel. The Vibrato channel sports a lush spring reverb and a TRULY out there pitch vibrato. The best way to describe it is a square wave pitch shifting vibrato. Super cool. The solid state distortion on a push pull concentric knob is certainly a sound... With no master volume, it can get pretty loud pretty quick, clean or distorted. Overall pretty similar to a Roland JC series without the chorus.

This amp does not include a footswitch but is capable of footswitching vibrato and reverb. The amp's original foam grill has been replaced with a stylish metal grill. The original logo panel was retained. Amplifier is fully functional and tolex is in good shape. This amp is a BEAST! 50+ LBS. Casters on the bottom roll smoothly. Switch it up with the Polytone Model 104.
