Harden
Used Harden Esmeralda Deluxe Custom Shop
If you shop at Chicagoland music stores on the regular you might bump into a Harden guitar. If you are already hip to Harden Engineering and have seen the Esmeralda, you probably haven't seen one like this. This one is a custom order that was traded in.
Weighs in at 7 lbs 12 oz.
It features a Mahogany body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, cat's eye inlay, humbucker in the neck and a single coil monolith bridge pickup (only one built with that last option). It also features a Jazzmaster/Jaguar style bridge which is a huge upgrade to the standard hard tail the original has. The only thing to note would be that the trem arm sleeve bumps into high e string when depressed and released, causing it to ping.
The guitar is matte finished and relic'd. The neck plays like a traditional Telecaster yet the unfinished neck gives it a faster, smoother feel that you won't get hung up on. The pickups are seriously over-wound and are high output. They rip with just a touch of gain but clean up well.
If you are in the market for a traditional looking, hot-rodded, one-of-a-kind axe. This one's for you!
