An Alder Body with a Vintage, Road-Worn Look and Modern Playability
The Pro-Mod Relic's alder body has been carefully distressed by hand to look like a cherished vintage guitar. Checking and wearing in the paint and hardware give it a road-worn vibe. The deep double cutaway body style offers easy access to the highest frets, while keeping the tone focused and resonant. It has a 12"-16" compound radius pau ferro fingerboard for comfortable chording and soloing. The side dots and creme dot inlays provide clear visual references.
Speed Neck Profile Lets Your Fingers Fly
The Charvel Pro-Mod Relic SD1 HH FR PF has a thin, flat maple neck profile that allows extremely fast playing all over the fingerboard. Position shifts and quick solos come easy thanks to the smooth feel and unhindered access. The comfortably rolled fingerboard edges give a broken-in feel for fluid playing. And the neck is reinforced against warping, even under environmental stresses of touring and changes in humidity and temperature. The heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel also lets you make quick tweaks to the neck relief before, during or after a gig.
Seymour Duncan Pickups Crank Versatile Tones
With a Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge and '59 humbucker in the neck, this Charvel pumps out everything from sweet, singing leads to high-octane distorted riffs. The JB bridge pickup handles crunchy rhythms and searing solos with ease, while the '59 in the neck warms up the mids and adds sustain for bluesy bends. They capture the classic rock tones you need as a gigging musician. And the single volume knob with 3-way toggle provides uncomplicated control of the two pickups.
Double-Locking Tremolo Keeps You In Tune
No matter how wild you get with the whammy bar, the Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo bridge keeps you in tune. The SD1 HH FR PF lets you execute screaming dives, fluttering warbles and spot-on squeals without knocking the guitar out of tune. The recessed bridge also improves playing comfort compared to non-recessed designs. So you can tap and bend with precision.
