Introduced in 1957, the Skylark has become one of Gibson's most popular steels. This steel guitar was made with the same groundbreaking design philosophy as the forward-thinking Explorer and Flying V guitars that launched shortly after. Korina, the wood that this guitar is constructed out of is extremely rare and desirable. This axe has swagger! A melody maker style pickup. All components original. Includes the original case, no musty smells either! Comes with a stylish plastic bar and bowlingball finished thumbpick, as well as the original cable. Serial #: 78902 

This guitar is in sensational shape its age, a true "case queen". There are a few small nicks in the fretboard label, As well as a small thing in the back of the body as photographed. 

The amplifier on the other hand has begun to show some minor signs of age. The tremolo is unfortunately non-functional. The amplifier sounds great up until around 8.5/nine on the volume dial. After this point, it starts to break up in a somewhat unfavorable fashion. This is likely a quick fix for a technician who knows their way around vintage amps. We are currently selling this unit as is. The amplifier is in solid, cosmetic shape, But the Gibson logo has fallen off and broken in two. It is still included with the purchase of the set. The original cover for the amp is intact. You just don’t come across this kind of thing anymore!
