About
This guitar is pure class! If you're looking for a great example of a Norlin-era classic, this may be your new axe!
This guitar is in very good condition for it's age. There is general finish wear throughout, including scratches, small dings, and finish checking in certain spots. We did our best to picture these, but due to the high-gloss nitro finish it is somewhat difficult. There is a finish crack at the neck heel that wraps around both sides. Set neck guitars can develop this if you live in a place where there is a great degree of change between seasons. This guitar is structurally sound, nothing to cause concern. On the headstock there are remnants of a sticker. This guitar weighs 7LBS 15oz.
The original bridge pickup has been replaced with a Gibson Pickup Shop 70's Tribute T. The original pickup is included with the guitar, the previous owner says it "needs to be rewound". There is electrical tape around the windings. There is some cosmetic difference between the new pickup and the original, namely the pole pieces. It even comes with the solder from the Kalamazoo factory!
The guitar plays very well with it's original frets. They are in good shape with minor signs of play wear. It plays as a Norlin-era Explorer should. It's silky smooth with low action throughout and no buzzing frets.
This guitar includes the original hardshell case. It is rather large with a red interior. It has a gold Gibson logo print on the front side.
