About

Description

Built in Escondido, California by the fine folks at Kiesel, the Kiesel JB4 is a riff on the classic Fender Jazz Bass. Featuring a Birdseye Maple Neck and totally tubular Surf Green alder body, the JB4 is like a 60's Jazz Bass on steroids! The passive/active pickup system (2x9V batteries) adds maximum versatility to your bass arsenal. A master volume and a notched blend pot let you dial in the perfect balance of each humbucking pickup. Concentric treble and bass pots for treble further tone-shaping. Wanna go back to passive? The push-pull tone pot'll get ya back to the classic sounds and response of a passive bass.

This bass weighs 9LBS 3oz

There are minor dings on the back of the body near the battery compartment, a scratch on one of the cutaways, a small buff on the back of the headstock. There's also a scuff along the corner of the top and the side near the input plate. None of this wear is very egregious and is fairly expected for a used instrument. The Birdseye Maple fretboard looks fantastic and feels fantastic. The frets are in great shape. Strung with a sharp looking set of white DR coated strings. It's a one-of-a-kind bass made by one of the earliest custom US builders, what's not to love! Comes with a very nice Carvin-branded well-padded gigbag.
