About

Description

Introduced by Fender in 1956, The Duo-Sonic is one of the original student-oriented guitars. Its shorter scale-length makes it more comfortable for smaller hands and it's simple, solid contruction sits well whether you're playing standing up or sitting down. The Squier Duo-Sonic is a distillation of the classic Duo-Sonic designs of the 50's and 60's with some more modern design appointments. The body shape, 3-saddle bridge, and controls are all design appointments from the classic 1950's design with the 24-inch scale length, and slanted Strat-style pickups coming from the mid-60's Duo-Sonic II and Mustang guitars.

Being a 26 year-old instrument, there's some light wear throughout. There's a small ding on the back of the neck and some scuffing on the lower bout by the input jack. This guitar is incredibly comfortable, and the Strat-style pickups give you a more versatility than a typical Duo-Sonic pickup. Weighs 6 lbs 8 oz
